TTC Rebranding
This is an independent study which proposing to rebrand TTC. Its concept seeks to address the current unfavorable perceptions of the transport organization and present it as a forward - looking and innovative entity.
By modernizing the TTC’s image, we can enhance the rider experience and effectively convey the significance of public transportation in Toronto.
Deliverables for this study are Style Guide, Campaign Ads/ Merch and Transit Announcement App.
The rebrand proposal entails updating the TTC logo while preserving the essence of its original design. From all rough drafts, the emphasis is on incorporating modern design elements to establish a cohesive visual identity across all communications. While respecting its history and tradition, the concept demonstrates a forward-thinking approach. The new final logo features an easily legible rendition and more streamlined abbreviation “TTC,” with a dynamic flair that retains the recognizable silhouette of the original logo.
The social campaign aimed at promoting the TTC’s new logo will concentrate on marketing the new advertisements and merch. The campaign will be exclusively launched as an organic marketing initiative, specifically on Instagram. The visual design elements will highlight the positive initiatives and improvements, serving as a reflection of TTC’s legacy and its continous contributions to the country’s development.
And lastly, TTC riders need a better way
to access announcements from conductors on the subway as most of the time you
can’t hear them due to the fact that there are a lot of noises from performers, people listening to their own music, and from the sounds of the train itself. A mobile app is the bestway to solve this issue and can lead to transit effectivity.
As a final thought, it’s important to note that a rebranding effort alone may not fully
erase the negative impact of past incidents, especially in the age of social media and instant news dissemination. However, when
combined with tangible improvements and a genuine commitment to change, rebranding can play a significant role in rebuilding trust
and fostering a positive public perception.
TTC is indeed dedicated to fix everything in all aspects. With all of these target deliverables, it will help the organization to implement
the goals and objectives of the project itself.
